The Amish reject modern technology because they believe it can lead to a weakening of their community and values. They prioritize simplicity, humility, and self-sufficiency, which they feel can be compromised by the distractions and conveniences of modern technology. Additionally, they believe that embracing certain technologies can lead to a distancing from their faith and a reliance on worldly possessions rather than on their community and God. Ultimately, the rejection of modern technology is a way for the Amish to preserve their traditional way of life and maintain their strong sense of community and faith. **

Modern technology can be seen as both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it has greatly improved our lives by making communication, transportation, and access to information more efficient. Additionally, some outdated technology may still be reliable and effective, so there may not be a pressing need to update it. **
